I’ve been itching to talk about this for a while. It’s new this year to Glotech, and as a man who enjoys his gadgets, I’m still very much excited about it.

Splashback TVs.

Glass and mirrored splashbacks are a hugely popular trend right now in the kitchen thanks to their sleek, stylish look and have been for some time. These TVs are hidden behind those splashbacks.

The beauty of this design is that when your TV is off, it is completely hidden, showcasing only your chosen glass or mirrored splashback. When the TV is on, it’s an impressive sight; up to 32inches of whatever programme takes your fancy while you dish up dinner.

The hub of any good party is often the kitchen, and this is an impressive focal point. However, as we move forward to an era of open plan and the lines between rooms blur, having a TV in the kitchen is becoming almost a necessity.

Homeowners spend a long time planning every fine detail of each room, and the kitchen is no exception. However, when it comes to the TV, there is only the choice of installing a black rectangle on the wall, and when the TV is off, it offers no aesthetic pleasure to the eye – until now.

These splashback TVs really are a thing of beauty.

Although they work by remote control like any standard television, these are not your run-of-the-mill devices that can be picked up in Currys or the like; they’re specially made and fit for purpose.

At Glotech, we’ve fitted a few of these this year, and the feedback echo’s my own thoughts on this must-have gadget – impressed.

So, if you want a kitchen with a real wow factor, you need to get yourself a splashback TV.
